Cain Abel
Starting at the age of six I had a dog named Cain Abel. He was a boxer and lived for ten years exactly. He was the best dog any little girl could have asked for. He loved playing as a puppy and was very obedient. As he got older he became less playful and very stubborn. He was even a very lazy dog. He would just lay around on the couch all day long. It was funny though because anytime my sister Olivia would come out into the living room, he would growl at her until she left. That always made my day. When he was about 9 and a half he was diagnosed with cancer. It slowly tore him a part. He lost a lot of weight and had a tumor on a shoulder that grew about every day. After a few months he stopped walking and he stopped eating the normal amount of food he typically ate everyday. The only time he were to get up was to eat food. He couldn't even walk to the door to go outside so he kept peeing and pooping all over his bed. Soon his kidneys failed and all food he consumed can out either end of his body. He couldn't get up on the couch and had to lay on a big pillow on the floor. On May 3, 2013 our family made the decision that it was time to put Cain down. Everyday he was getting worse and suffering more. I even skipped school that day just so I could spend more time with my dog by myself. That day I had to clean my room and do the dishes. Everywhere I went around the house Cain followed. It was as if he knew it was his last day to be with his family, so he wanted to make the best of it. After my sister and parents got home from school and work we went straight to Friends of Felines to say our final goodbyes. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do as a sixteen year old. When my family and I got home we started building a cross out of wood and engraved his name into it and dug up a grave for him. When we went back inside it was very quiet with just us four and our other dog Sheldon. I am never going to forget the day I had to say goodbye to the greatest companion I had had at the time.

I'm sorry to hear about your dog. I have two dogs and am dreading the day when they get old. The only thing I have as far as grammar is that you said "can" instead of came out of either end.
